3rd Week Already
September 9, 2008Please encourage your child to get a book chosen to do a Book Talk if he or she hasn’t already chosen one. I’ll be doing a sample Book Talk on Wednesday to show exactly what I’m wanting.
I’m currently doing Language for 2 days of the week, Monday and Tuesday, and Reading for 3 days. I’m not sure that I like it at this time, so that may change.
We are doing a little diagramming this week in Language starting with identifying the simple subjects and simple verbs. Hopefully your child will be able to tell you that predicate is another word for verb!
Also on Friday, or today in some cases, your child got one of 5 writing assignments to work on. Those assignments are due Tuesday the 9th. They have very good thought provoking ideas. I chose them because each paper has more than one requirement to be completed correctly.
