Dec. 15-19

Your child was given a small slip of paper Monday, Dec. 15th, to tape into that day’s agenda.  If the paper was blank, nothing is owed.  If an assignment is on the paper, then that assignment hasn’t been handed in.  I okayed anything that was handed in on Monday.

Language:  Monday and Tuesday- peer edit Egyptian Article.  Final copy due and will be read in class on Wednesday.  

Reading: Monday- finish Book Talks.     Thursday- finish discussion on Literature books.

Mark Twain or Truman nominated book report due Monday.

Dec. 8-12

Your child was given a small slip of paper Monday, Dec. 8th, to tape into that day’s agenda.  If the paper was blank, nothing is owed.  If an assignment is on the paper, then that assignment hasn’t been handed in.  I okayed anything that was handed in on Monday.

Language:   Mon.- Finish getting information regarding research for newspaper article including facts about newspaper articles, plagiarism, and a resource to use for research.

Tues. and Wed.- focused research and write article.  Mrs. Hampton has already given the classes 4 class periods to research.  The kids shouldn’t need a lot of research time.  Article due next Monday or Tuesday;  I’ll tell the kids which day it will be after Tuesday.

Mrs. Skaggs in the classroom- except for Mrs. Hampton’s class.  She’ll get them next week.

Reading: Wed.- finish discussing chapters 11-15 and Library time

Thurs:- Book Talks begin

Fri.- Mark Twain or Truman Reader nominated book report due                                                                                    Book Talks continue

Progress Reports will go home on Friday.  Any missing or late assignments need to be handed in by Dec. 19 in order to be included in the 2nd quarter grade.
