Each student is required to read one Mark Twain Award or Truman Award nominated book by a week before  the end of the year.  I have a summary of each book and a copy of each book jacket in my room to help students choose a book that will be interesting to them.   I have read them all and will continue to discuss each book.

The form that will be used for the test over the book is the same as for Book Talk.  A copy of the form is in the Communication Arts Notebook.  In December I will give the students a test over either the Mark Twain or Truman nominated book that was read.  I’ll talk to the students about the test at a later date.
